- roll your own. this also gives you the opportunity to invest the effort in buying nicer/cleaner tobaccos (might also end up being more expensive, which I think helps to curb the act).
- when rolling your own, add other (better) herbs, chamomile and sage in particular
having overcome a number of (intense) addictions, it is my belief that your strongest power is in your mind. So personally, I believe the healing powers we employ should be focused, most intensely, on our minds. With respect to additions such as smoking, there is (interestingly enough) a physical aspect of this you can work on.. but I think it's different than the normal (hence why I'm pointing this out).
rather than finding another chemical (herb, whatever..) to substitute, in an effort to help reduce or overcome the physical additions, what physical things can be done for the mind to really decide that it doesn't want that cigarette?
put another way: I would focus all possible energy on the experience of smoking a cigarette. How does it make you think, feel, and act differently? How does it change your physical appearance, and tone.. how is your energy affected? How do people treat you differently? How do you really feel about all of this?
I think if you are honest about these things, and see the real truth in the situation, your mind has been given the power to really overcome any physical obstacle your body is imposing chemically.
good luck, and please (this is open to everyone) feel free to contact me regarding personal healing through nutrition, philosphy, etc..
*love and peace*
