  • I work with a number of cancer patients. In the U.S. we are not allowed to use the rasashastra drugs that would be used in India for this condtion. I do use a tri-doshic diet with my cancer patients and use herbs to cleanse the liver and blood of pitta and kapha, especially if they are undergoing conventional treatments of chemo or radiation at the same time.

Since I am also a Homeopath, I utilize homeopathic remedies for this condition, for example, Hekla Lava or Aurum Metallicum, and alternate it with Carcinosin. I use Ramakrishna's approach homeopathically.

There are also some supplements that are good for boosting the system when dealing with cancer.

I have found very positive results.
  • Send the patient to my Guruji-Barfani Dadaji. See that tribe.

I am not sure if this medicine is used for this purpose ever before but I guess this for sure is the best 'possible ayurvedic medicine' for the purpose. Since this medicine only offers good 'effects/side effects' it wouldn't be a harm to try.

Cissus quadrangularis - Perennial plant of the grape family - Veldt Grape or Devil's Backbone.

    Sankrit:Asthisamharaka
    Tamil/Malayalam: Changalam Peranda

Tamil Siddha Medicine, mentions it as a tonic and analgesic, and prescribes its use to help heal broken bones.

Famous in South India under the tribal name of 'Puthoor Kettu' (Andhra Pradesh/Tamil Nadu) a village near Sri Kaala Hasthi Temple.

Plant as such (samoolam) including the root is crushed to make a paste and used as if like plaster material to cover the severely broken bone. Supposed to heal [magically :)] in about a weeks time.

Modern Use: Used in AIDS treatments, as this medicine has antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, anthelmintic, antihemorrhoidal and analgesic activities.

A modern day medicine for the nuclear age!

I suggest you try to procure a pure tincture (homoeopathic preparation) form for best result. Preparations with so called inactive ingredients (like Magnesium Stearate / silicon dioxide / gelatin) will surely change the magical medicinal power and the chemical composition (<%) with inappropriate results.

Lots of companies in India and elsewhere manufacture 500mg tablets (with inactive ingredients) which you could try if a tincture is not available locally.
