I've been having a problem with fluid in my ears. Went to a western doctor and found out it was not an ear infection but it was probably fluid coming from my sinuses, from allergies. I am thinking of doing nasya but I wonder if doing it with oil will just aggrivate my kapha more. Anyone have an opinion?

Thu, May 29, 2008 - 8:26 AMnice question John. What is your Prakruti? Are your allergies Kapha allergies or Pitta? It feels like it would be safe to do Neti pot with up to a 1/8th tsp of salt. this would help to clean out the sinuses and not aggravate kapha if that is a great concern. -

I am a pitta-kapha. my allergies- if thats what it is, are kapha related. I don't feel it in my sinuses, but I get this post nasal drip thing a lot. Did netti with salt today, have not noticed a difference yet but my nasal passages feel good.
